Levy Costa received the B.Sc. degree from the Federal University of Ceara, Brazil, in 2010, and M.Sc. degree from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 2013. In 2013 and 2014 he was with Schneider Electric, Brazil, as a R&D Engineer. In September 2014, he started his Ph.D. at the Chair of Power Electronics of the University of Kiel, working on the Heart project. His work is focused on the architectures and modular design of smart transformers.
